Registration for next year's programs are currently being accepted.  The registration forms are available at the school office or below.  Registrations are accepted through to the end of September.

All band items are to be returned to the music department before June 10th as inventory has to be taken.

Registration Fees

 

Registration fee and all other fees are due by October 1st. Cheques are to be made out to “Nashwaaksis Middle School”.  If you wish to make two payments post dated cheques are required at the time of registration.   
Alternate payment schedules can be arranged; please speak to your Music Director, or a NMS Music Parent Committee member.

 

Please note: Band fees cover registration only.  Each band student is required to have an instrument. They may be rented from Long and McQuade (981 Prospect St.).  Instruments can be purchased through Tony’s Music Box (396 Queen Street) or at Long and McQuade.   Percussion instrument fee is $50 for first year and students are required to buy their own practice pad and set of drumsticks. If they continue to play percussion in second and third year there is no instrument fee.

 

Show Choir students we are working on new costumes.  We will update the form as soon as we make our final decisions.

 

Family registration rate for two children in band is $160; two children in choir is $70.

If a student is participating in more than one program the maximum fee charged will be $140.

Should a student drop out of the Music Program, there will be no refunds.

Concert Attire

 

Please note the following uniform information for NMS Music Program concerts:

Ÿ  White Shirts

Ÿ  Black pants (boys)

Ÿ  Black skirts below the knee (girls)

Ÿ  Black Shoes

Ÿ  Show Choir – Show Choir Dresses (girls) and all black with a red Show Choir tie (boys)

Directors will inform parents and students of any attire changes.

 

 

Parent Section

 

One of the keys to the success of the NMS Music Program is the Parent Support Committee. To be successful requires the assistance of parent volunteers. We really need your help to make this program work. All parents are asked to volunteer in some way. This may only involve an hour or two a couple of times during the school year.
